Vivo & iQOO Android Support

Vivo and iQOO are part of the same BBK Electronics group as OPPO and Realme. Both run Funtouch OS or Origin OS on top of Android, both have permanently locked bootloaders on every current model, and both are well-served by remote firmware flash, FRP bypass and account-lock removal. We work on every Vivo Y, V, X, S and iQOO Z, Neo, 11, 12 series across Funtouch OS 13, 14 and Origin OS 4. We are honest about what is possible (a lot) and what is not (custom ROMs and rooting on current models).

Vivo / iQOO Compatibility Matrix

Every modern Vivo and iQOO is locked. We focus on what works: FRP, accounts, firmware flash, pattern removal and data recovery.

Vivo / iQOO unlock + ROM compatibility (Funtouch OS 12–14, Origin OS 3–4)
Series Bootloader Unlock Root Custom ROM Notes
X100 / X90 / X80 series (Vivo) Locked from factory; FRP and account work supported

Vivo & iQOO FAQs

Can you unlock the bootloader on a Vivo or iQOO?

No — Vivo and iQOO have no public bootloader unlock program. The deep-test app that briefly worked on Chinese iQOO models was removed in 2023. Even rooted Chinese-market iQOO 11 and Neo 8 units cannot be officially unlocked. We will not pretend otherwise. What we can do is FRP bypass, account removal, firmware flash and pattern/PIN removal — all of which work fine on locked Vivo/iQOO devices.

How do I bypass FRP on a Vivo or iQOO?

We use Vivo-specific methods: Test Point shorting on Mediatek-based Vivo Y series, Qualcomm EDL via authorized loaders for Snapdragon iQOO and X-series, and ADB sideload for older models on Funtouch OS 12 and below. Most Y series take 30–60 minutes; X and iQOO flagships take 1–3 hours depending on Funtouch OS / Origin OS version.

My Vivo shows "Demo Mode" or "Retail Mode" — can you remove it?

Yes — Vivo Demo Mode is a store-display lock that was supposed to be removed before retail sale. We flash the matching consumer Funtouch OS / Origin OS firmware via PD Flash Tool or QPST, which removes the demo mode and restores normal Play Store, Google services and full app installation. Most cases finish in 60–90 minutes.

My Vivo is stuck on the logo or shows "fastboot mode booting failed". Can you fix it?

Yes — most Vivo bootloops are fixed by flashing the matching Funtouch OS / Origin OS PD firmware. For Mediatek-based models we use SP Flash Tool with the bootrom port; for Snapdragon models we use QPST with the appropriate authorized loader for your model. Most cases boot cleanly within 60–90 minutes; hard-bricked units sometimes need 2–3 hours.

Can I install a custom ROM on my Vivo or iQOO?

Almost never. Without an unlockable bootloader there is no way to install LineageOS, Pixel Experience or any custom ROM. The only exception is a small number of pre-2022 Mediatek Vivo Y models with leaked engineering firmware. If a custom ROM is your goal, we honestly recommend selling the Vivo/iQOO and buying a Pixel, OnePlus or Xiaomi/POCO instead — the toolchain on those is years ahead.
