Introducing Android ID and Emulator Hider
Android ID and Emulator Hider spoofs your device's Android ID and full identity, on a phone or in an emulator, so apps see a real, different device every time. Here is what it does and who it is for.
Table of Contents
Plenty of apps refuse to run, or quietly limit themselves, the moment they think your device is an emulator, rooted, or running a hook framework — and plenty more build a profile of your real phone from values you never agreed to share. Today we are launching Android ID and Emulator Hider, our answer to both problems: one module that gives any app you choose a different, real device identity, on a phone or in an emulator.
What it does
Android ID and Emulator Hider is an Xposed/LSPosed module for rooted Android. You pick one of 12 real device profiles, and the module rewrites what Java and native APIs report — model, brand, manufacturer, build fingerprint, Android ID, serial, processor, graphics, sensors, battery, camera list and more — to match that profile, consistently, across every app you scope.
It also strips the telltale signs of the environment underneath: qemu/goldfish emulator properties, root binaries and paths, and Xposed/LSPosed traces in process maps and the package manager.
Built for control, not just replacement
Changing one value is easy; changing all of them consistently, and proving it, is the hard part. That is what the module focuses on:
- 12 real device profiles. Pixel 7, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S24, POCO X3 Pro, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and Nothing Phone (2a) — each built from a verified IMEI allocation and a real factory build fingerprint, not invented values.
- 18 individual protections. Every signal is a separate toggle, grouped into device identity, hardware & sensors, system & security, and identifiers, so you can turn one off without losing the rest.
- Device Check. A built-in screen that shows exactly what a scanning app would read from your device right now, compared against your active profile, live.
- Pro: custom and per-app profiles. Build your own identity from scratch, or give one specific app a different identity than the rest of your device.
What you need
The module is made for devices that are already rooted — a real phone, or an Android emulator on a PC:
- Android 8 or newer. One universal build, verified through Android 16.
- Root with Magisk, KernelSU or APatch.
- An Xposed framework on the modern libxposed API 102, such as LSPosed or Vector. Legacy Xposed and EdXposed are not supported.
Not rooted yet? Our rooting service can do it remotely. The full setup is covered step by step in How to install Android ID and Emulator Hider.
Who it is for
We built it with three groups in mind:
- Privacy-conscious users who want to stop apps profiling the real hardware, Android ID and advertising ID of their personal phone.
- People who run Android apps in an emulator on a PC, and are tired of apps that refuse to start or limit themselves there.
- Developers and testers who need to check how their own app behaves against several real device fingerprints without owning several phones.
Compatibility, honestly
The masking covers every signal we are aware apps actually use to read device identity or detect an emulator, root or Xposed, and it works the same whether you are on a real phone or in BlueStacks, NoxPlayer, LDPlayer, MEmu, MuMu, GameLoop, Genymotion or the Android Studio emulator. It will not, however, defeat hardware attestation (Play Integrity, SafetyNet) — that is backed by the device's TEE/StrongBox and is out of reach for any userspace Xposed hook.
Where to get it
Download the signed APK from the Android ID and Emulator Hider page; masking is free for all 18 protections and all 12 profiles, with no account needed. A one-time $20 purchase unlocks Pro — Safe mode, custom profiles, per-app profiles, and developer-mode and DRM identifier masking — for life.
This module is meant for privacy, testing and compatibility with your own apps. You are solely responsible for how you use it, and DroidRooter is not responsible for any illegal use.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Android ID and Emulator Hider?
It is an Xposed/LSPosed module for rooted Android that spoofs your device's Android ID and identity — model, brand, fingerprint and more — and hides root, emulator and Xposed signals from the apps you choose.
Does it work without root?
No. It needs root with Magisk, KernelSU or APatch and an active libxposed API 102 framework such as LSPosed or Vector.
Does it work in an emulator?
Yes. The masking is identity-based, not environment-based, so it works the same in any Android emulator that has root and an Xposed framework running inside it.
Is it free?
Core masking is free: all 18 protections and all 12 device profiles, for any number of apps. A one-time $20 purchase adds Pro features for life.
